Finally, my daughter’s world famous rice bowls can enter the public domain!
My daughter Carter makes the most amazing egg rice bowls. And she whips them up four days a week on average. They feature a lot of the stuff I love the most in this world, particularly kimchi and anything pickled. That’s not gonna be everyone’s thing, but if it is, boy howdy, are you gonna love these.
So, along with some pictures of the most recent bowls, here’s what they’re made from and how to assemble the perfect morning rice bowl! Enjoy!
The main ingredients:
1 cup cooked rice (we use calrose)
Yukon gold potatoes, sliced thin and pan fried
2 large fried eggs
Topping types. You can mix and match these at your taste:
Pickled carrot slices
Picked radishes
Pumpkin seeds
Sesame seeds
Asparagus (sautéed)
Crispy fried onions
Swiss chard (sautéed)
Sauces:
Here are a few we like to mix and match. There are no rules with the sauces, just use what you like, however much you like:
Soy sauce
Cholula (or your favorite hot sauce)
None of this takes very long to make, and as you can see, they look and taste amazing. Carter puts three of these together in about 12 minutes or something.
Give em a shot and let me know what you think in the comments or an email!
Quick Frogpants Patreon Shoutout
Tiny note to all the awesome Frogpants Patrons. There are a few of these on various shows, etc, but there’s one main Patreon I do for all my personal stuff, art, etc. If you’ve not checked it out, give it a look and see if it’s something you’d like to back!
Oh, and we are now only a week and a half away from the Rock Runners Kickstarter! I will make sure I put out a newsletter with reminders when the time arrives. Gonna be fun!
Until next time, watch out where the huskies go, and don’t you eat that yellow snow. And don’t forget to walk your AT-AT.
