Also if like the Canadian product they would have a marked remove from shelves month “marked” on the cap (if old metal thin ones) used to be looking at the coka cola name horizontal there yould be a small line shown at a hour of day. Lets say you see a mark at the 7 o’clock position the reseller knew to remove during the July delivery. (Not that it would reach that month but was an fallback if complaints were raised. I think they still do for Beer (has metal caps)

The mark might also be on the label. Same principle. 3 position per side (square label) or clock posit for round/oval labels
